This community activity involves anyone at ANY age.

The milk bags here are flattened and then cut into 'plarn'.

Here, a couple of ladies are crocheting 'plarn' (Plarn stands for plastic yarn.)

This is a hand-made LOOM where the milk bags are 'woven' to create a mat. Some would say this is a faster method than crocheting.

Milk Bag Matters in action...

Our group meets once a month to flatten milk bags, to cut bags into "plarn" - (plastic yarn), and to crochet the plastic into sleeping mats for third world countries. Below, ladies are cutting the bags...
